10 Most Awesome Moments From The X-Men: Apocalypse Trailer

This week saw the long overdue release of the first trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse (which you can see above). The first footage from Bryan Singer-directed movie premiered at this year's San Diego Comic-Con back in July, and after leaking onto the web, fans were left wondering if Fox would follow it up with an official version like Warner Bros. did with Suicide Squad. Unfortunately, though, that didn't happen.

As I previously mentioned, Bryan Singer has had a habit of keeping his X-Men movies fairly grounded over the years, and it’s that which makes the kind of epic action we see at the end of the trailer all the more surprising.

It’s a visual you would associate more with a Michael Bay or Roland Emmerich movie, but including scenes like this is long overdue and definitely points to the team facing their biggest threat ever in the form of Apocalypse.

The action hopefully won’t distract from the story too much, but if plenty of other superhero movies have taught us anything, it’s that that doesn’t have to be the case.

It’s about time the X-Men franchise caught up with the rest of them!
