5) X-Men Assemble

While it’s a shame that Bryan Singer has gone back to the black leather costumes for this take on the X-Men (especially as the 1980s lend themselves so well to more colourful outfits and stylized fashion choices), there’s no denying that it’s pretty awesome seeing the team aboard the Blackbird.

It’s obviously a little odd to see Mystique leading them into battle, but Beast being there is great, and seeing him joined by the likes of Cyclops and Jean Grey is long overdue. Why some of the other mutants aren’t here (Jubilee for example) is hard to say, but it feels like X-Men: Apocalypse is going to be the movie which takes us into a new era for these characters.
