We’ve yet to learn the full extent of Apocalypse’s powers, but the most exciting reveal in this trailer is the fact that – like his comic book counterpart – the villain is able to change his size.
Based on how grounded Bryan Singer has always kept the action in these movies, it’s surprising that he has this ability, but there appears to be a twist based on what’s shown here. Seeing as Apocalypse is fighting a Charles Xavier with the use of his legs, chances are that this scene is taking place on some sort of psychic plane, with the villain’s size increase a representation of him asserting his dominance over the leader of his X-Men – a clever way to include this particular power of his.
