Every year, the Oscar nominations bring controversy. A seemingly surefire fan favorite nominee misses out, a less-deserving candidate makes it in; trivial stuff, usually. This year was different – or not, considering the real problem with the Oscars 2016 whitewash is that it’s essentially just a repeat of last year’s awards.
