10 Characters Who Could Die In Avengers: Infinity War

On May 4th, 2018, the MCU will finally reach the moment that every movie to come out of the studio over the past ten years or so has been building up to. In Avengers: Infinity War, the assembled forces of the Marvel universe will rise up against the Mad Titan Thanos in a bid to stop him from wreaking havoc with the all-powerful Infinity Gauntlet. Though the movie's sequel, to be released a year later, isn't being billed as Part II anymore, you can bet that the epic story will be continued in the follow-up film as well.

Thanos, Marvel, Avengers: Infinity War,

This one might be a tad obvious, but it deserves a mention anyways.

Surely one of the characters who’s likely to die during the Avengers: Infinity War event is the central villain: Thanos. After all, how else are you meant to defeat a mad titan who can bend the universe to his will? A guy like that is too dangerous to leave alive, right?

Well, actually, in either of the comic events that Infinity War will be probably based on, Thanos doesn’t die. Instead, he’s just stripped of the Infinity Gauntlet. We have a feeling, though, that the MCU will do things differently and off him at the end of Phase Three. The uber-villain has been skulking around for years now, so it would make sense for Marvel to remove him from the board and start with a clean slate for Phase Four.

Besides, the heroes of the MCU are a lot quicker to kill than their comics counterparts, for the most part, so the Avengers shouldn’t have any problem taking his life for the greater good.

Sorry, Thanos, we think you’re a goner. Though that doesn’t mean you’re not going to take any of the good guys with you…
