Phase 3 is a big deal for Marvel Studios, with the introduction of several new heroes and quite possibly the end of an era for many others as contracts finish up. With big changes on the horizon then, it's fitting that Kevin Feige and company are ending this phase of their movies with the sure to be epic two-part Avengers: Infinity War.

When Kevin Feige was asked about the possibility of Spider-Man showing up in Avengers: Infinity War, he said that Marvel were instead busy focusing on his role in Captain America: Civil War and the character’s planned solo outing in 2017 before thinking about having him reappear there.

Considering the fact that Peter Parker’s role in the Captain America threequel likely won’t be that significant, it’s essential that Infinity War emphasizes his role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by having the young hero assemble with the rest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

By the time the events of this movie take place, Spider-Man will have been operating for a number of years, and even if Marvel feels like taking him into outer space will be a little too far from his comfort zone, let us at least see Spidey helping the people back on Earth when Thanos attacks.
