10 Awesome Easter Eggs You May Have Missed In Deadpool 2

Deadpool 2 is finally here and, as you might expect, it's bulging with easter eggs. Of course, most superhero movies feature a whole lot of easter eggs and references to the comic books they're based on and maybe other films in the same franchise, so this might not sound like anything too surprising. Vanishing Brad Pitt

In the most unexpected, high-profile cameo in a superhero movie since, uh, last November, Deadpool 2 gives Matt Damon’s surprise role in Thor: Ragnarok a run for its money by getting none other than Brad Pitt to turn up for a split second.

One of Wade’s X-Force team members is The Vanisher, an invisible man who isn’t seen until his death, when he jumps out of a helicopter and parachutes his way onto a phone line. As the electricity lights him up, his true form is revealed as the famed Hollywood star.

You might remember that Pitt was in the running to play Cable last year, but he had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. He’s a good friend of director David Leitch, however, so when it came to the reshoots, he was able to drop by and film this hilarious cameo.

If you’re wondering, The Vanisher isn’t actually an X-Force member in the comics. He’s a villain who can teleport rather than turn himself invisible. The fact that an A-lister like Pitt showed up for a few seconds to play a bargain bin Marvel comics character, then, is just another reminder that superhero fans have never had it so good.
