3) The Monster’s Creation
Rumours have pointed to Lex being the one responsible for the creation of Doomsday for a while now, and this trailer confirms both that and the fact that he does so by using Zod’s remains.
How he goes about that isn’t easy to figure out, but some sort of bizarre alien tech appears to be what he’s using to bring this monster to life. Interestingly, Lex seemingly only does so after realizing that Batman isn’t going to put Superman down, forcing him to unleash this beast on Metropolis.
It’s ironic that Lex is happy to potentially kill thousands to stop Superman and that he does so in a very public manner, but could that mean this trailer spoils the fact that he’ll end up behind bars? That remains to be seen, but it’s still great to see Lex as a mad scientist.
