12) Lin-Manuel Miranda
We’re kind of cheating on this first entry, as Broadway star Lin-Manuel Miranda doesn’t physically appear in any Star Wars films, but his voice is most definitely heard in The Force Awakens. The scene in question takes place in Maz Kanata’s bar. If you listen closely enough, you’ll notice that the song that’s being played is sung by Miranda.
It’s not only him on vocal duties, though, as keen viewers may have realized that there’s actually two voices bringing the song to life. What they might not have known though is that the second singer is actually none other than director J.J. Abrams, who performed the song with Miranda. The track even has a name – it’s called “Jabba Flow.”
Like so many other entries on this list, this particular cameo was revealed before the film hit theatres, but we’re guessing that there’s a good portion of moviegoers out there who had no idea that they were listening to vocals from Abrams and Miranda.
