If “Who?!” was your first reaction, don’t feel too bad. Stargirl isn’t exactly an A-List superhero, but she’s a favourite of Geoff Johns (who is playing a key role in the development of all these DC Comics movies, including writing Batman with Ben Affleck) and has a ton of potential.

While it appears as if Ray Fisher’s Vic Stone is going to be taking on the role of the Justice League‘s young hero thrust into action when he becomes Cyborg, seeing teenager Courtney Whitmore also become a hero due to the events of these movies would be pretty neat.

After inheriting this mantle from her step-father, Stargirl was chosen by Amanda Waller and Steve Trevor to join the Justice League of America as the public face of the team, but don’t underestimate her; she’s also incredibly powerful and has the potential to bring an awful lot to this movie.
