8) The Opening Credits Sequence
Recommended Videos
It’s rare that superhero movies deliver a truly unique opening credits sequence, but that was definitely the case with Deadpool.
Set to Julie Newton’s “Angel of the Morning,” it hilariously mentioned all the actors not by name, but by the stereotypes they were playing (Ed Skrein, for example, was “British Villain”). It also made good use of director Tim Miller’s VFX background by taking us throughout the vehicle mentioned above in slow motion, throwing in some awesome Easter Eggs in the process.
Those included Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld’s name on a coffee cup, and more bizarrely, a picture of Ryan Reynolds suited up as Green Lantern in one of the goon’s wallets.
