10 Things We Learned From The New Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer

This is one of the biggest years ever for the comic book movie genre. With the last appearance of Wolverine, the first solo movie for Wonder Woman and the assembly of the Justice League, it might have been hard for yet another Spider-Man movie to stand out. Thankfully, though, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming that was released a few months ago got us hugely excited for it and somehow, the newly-released second trailer, which dropped this morning, is even better.

The five Spider-Man films previously released have given us some of the best set pieces in superhero movie history. For example, Spider-Man 2’s train sequence or The Amazing Spider-Man‘s school hallway fight with Lizard. Thankfully, Spider-Man: Homecoming looks to be following this grand tradition.

The trailer clearly spells out what’s likely the film’s first big action sequence. Despite Tony telling him that he’ll handle it, Peter goes to face the Vulture and his goons on the Staten Island ferry. Unfortunately, the newbie doesn’t manage to contain the situation and Vulture tears the ship in two. Though Spidey does his best to hold the boat together, Iron Man has to come to his aid to save the day.

To be honest, we would have preferred if the way events played out wasn’t given away quite so much in this trailer, but this still looks to be an awesome set piece that we can’t wait to see in full in the actual movie.
