10 Things We Learned From The New Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer

This is one of the biggest years ever for the comic book movie genre. With the last appearance of Wolverine, the first solo movie for Wonder Woman and the assembly of the Justice League, it might have been hard for yet another Spider-Man movie to stand out. Thankfully, though, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming that was released a few months ago got us hugely excited for it and somehow, the newly-released second trailer, which dropped this morning, is even better.

Things soon whizz forward to what’s most probably the final act of the movie. The trailer doesn’t give us any explanation for it, but Peter apparently gets his Stark suit back in time for the film’s climax. And it looks like it might come with a few upgrades.

As we saw in the previous trailer, things will really kick off when the action switches from New York to Washington, specifically the Washington Monument. We see Peter climbing the side of the monument where it’s revealed that his Spider emblem is actually a drone that can fly off his suit and… well, we’re not really sure what it does right now, but it definitely looks cool. Again, this trailer also repeats the scene from the previous teaser where Peter glides off the Monument, thanks to his underarm webbing acting as wings. Since no earlier footage revealed this, we can assume that they’re an addition of the returned suit only.

It’s not dwelled on in the trailer, but we can also briefly glimpse a strange glow happening at the top of the tower, which fits in with the go-to superhero movie climax of a weird portal in the sky.
