10 Things We Learned From The New Spider-Man: Homecoming Trailer

This is one of the biggest years ever for the comic book movie genre. With the last appearance of Wolverine, the first solo movie for Wonder Woman and the assembly of the Justice League, it might have been hard for yet another Spider-Man movie to stand out. Thankfully, though, the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming that was released a few months ago got us hugely excited for it and somehow, the newly-released second trailer, which dropped this morning, is even better.

The big, action-packed ending of the trailer reveals what’s presumably the movie’s own climax: a tense face-off between Spidey and Vulture on top of a plane. Then again, Peter is clearly wearing his makeshift costume again in this sequence, so it could be from earlier on in the film instead.

We can make out that the pair are tussling on the rooftops of New York when Vulture shoots off into the sky. Peter webs Toomes, however, and they both go flying off until Vulture tries to shake him off on top of the plane. Just like he did with the ship, Vulture leaves the plane in trouble and it’s up to Spidey to try and save it before it goes down – right over the city.

This will no doubt be another tense set piece that brilliantly demonstrates Spidey’s incredible feats of strength. We’re used to these sort of scenes in comic book movies, but Spidey’s versions tend to be more satisfying as his youth and average stature make it all the more impressive.
