10 Witty Halloween Costumes Based On 2013 Movies

Even more than ghosts and provocative costumes, Halloween has become marked by its unoriginality. Year after year, people dress up as the same generic things. I'm no exception to this. As a child I was Zorro 7 times. While Zorro is totally awesome, and I loved wearing a mask and a cape, a little variety would have been nice.

What You’ll Need

A tuxedo, white gloves, a sharpie.

What You’ll Do

One of the more ridiculous controversies this year was the name controversy over The Butler. Because that name was used by a silent 1916 movie, the modern film had to find a new title. Instead of coming up with something original, they just slapped the director’s name and an apostrophe S at the start, making for one of the most ridiculous names for a movie this year.

The best way to make fun of that whole ordeal? Dress as a butler, and then make sure everyone knows you belong to Lee Daniels. After all, the only way to truly show something is yours is to be sure to put your name on it. Sharpie “Lee Daniels” on every inch of your skin, then proceed to act like you’re a butler for the entire night.
