If Assassin's Creed pans out, the striking Swede will have conquered the blockbuster realm as well, something which looks like a very real possibility seeing as Ubisoft are already planning a sequel. 16) Tom Hardy Say what you will about Legend, but Tom Hardy's dual performances were absolutely terrific. His mumbling turn in The Revenant also left a mark, and while that movie's chaotic production schedule meant he missed out on Suicide Squad, it was probably worth it for the British hunk who made the most of 2015 by also blowing us away with the spectacular Mad Max: Fury Road. 15) Elizabeth Olsen While Elizabeth Olsen has now become best known for playing the Scarlet Witch in The Avengers and Captain America franchises (not to mention a disappointing turn in Godzilla), it would be a mistake to overlook her Indie work. Martha Marcy May Marlene and Liberal Arts are two movies in which she really impressed, and while commitments to Marvel are likely to keep her busy, hopefully she'll be able to return to that realm sometime soon. 14) Chris Evans Chris Evans transformation into Captain America is almost as amazing as what Steve Rogers went through to become a super soldier, and while you might think the guy who is the moral core of The Avengers would be the most boring character, Evans has made him the best. Depending on how Civil War plays out, the actor's time as the iconic hero could be close to wrapping up, especially as he's expressed an interest in directing more frequently. 13) Michael Fassbender Looking over Michael Fassbender's diverse list of credits, it's clear that he's an actor who can adapt to every and any genre. Whether it's playing a comic book supervillain, a sex addict, or the creator of the world's most iconic technology brand, the Irish actor never fails to impress. Mixing in big blockbusters such as the upcoming Assassin's Creed with the likes of Macbeth and Slow West means he appeals to all demographics, and you just know an Oscar is somewhere in his future. 12) Gal Gadot It's been a tough couple of years for stunning Israeli actress Gal Gadot. After being dismissed as too skinny to play Wonder Woman by some fans, she's had to prove that Zack Snyder made the right decision when he chose her to play the iconic DC Comics superhero. While following up that critically acclaimed role with The Huntsman: Winter's War is a decision she may regret, rumours about her playing the lead villain in the next Fast and Furious movie are surprisingly easy to get behind, as it would be a lot of fun to see what she brings to a franchise like that. 8) Henry Cavill Sorry Batman, but the Man of Steel wins this round. Between posting inspirational and must-see social media posts and shooting Baywatch (among a number of other movies), Johnson has somehow found the time to make a return to the squared circle for this year's WrestleMania, even though movie insurance issues make it unlikely that he'll be able to wrestle. 6) Emma Watson Of all the young leads from the Harry Potter franchise, Emma Watson has easily found the most success. The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Bling Ring were a good way to distance herself from Hermione Granger (as was a memorable cameo in This is the End), but it's her upcoming role in the live-action Beauty and the Beast - as the beauty, obviously - which is perhaps her most most notable post-Potter role yet. 5) Idris Elba A fan-favourite to play the next 007, the fact that Idris Elba was overlooked for his superb performance in Netflix's Beasts of No Nation during this year's Oscars is shameful.
