7 Things You Need To See In The Final Logan Trailer

With Hugh Jackman about to hang up his adamantium claws forever, all eyes are on Logan to provide a worthy final bow for the Wolverine. If he really does have to go - after 9 films over a record-breaking 17 years - if'd be nice if he could make his exit with his best ever outing as the character.

Logan

Next up, there’s a heartwarming moment of Logan, Charles and Laura sharing a meal at a dinner table and laughing. We hear Xavier talking to Wolverine, saying: “This is what living looks like. People who love each other. A home.” This is presumably part of a speech about convincing Logan to take Laura in, as he seems reluctant to do so in earlier clips.

Now, we’ve already seen this footage before in the first trailer, but this time there’s an extra reveal hidden within the longer version of the scene: there’s a fourth person at the table. Joining the old X-Men and Laura is Eriq La Salle, whose character is strangely still being kept under wraps. It looks like he might have a key role in the film, though. Previously, we had been led to believe that the main trio had formed a close familial bond, but La Salle’s character might also be part of the pack.

One fan theory goes that La Salle is playing a new version of Doctor Doom – the evidence being that Doom is the main villain of the Old Man Logan comic and that Fox do possess the rights to the character, and are probably wanting to do something new with him after the death of the Fantastic Four franchise.

Going by how friendly La Salle’s character is with the good guys in this shot, we’ll go out on a limb and say he isn’t Doom, but who knows? Stranger things have happened in the superhero movie world.
