7 Things You Need To See In The Final Logan Trailer

With Hugh Jackman about to hang up his adamantium claws forever, all eyes are on Logan to provide a worthy final bow for the Wolverine. If he really does have to go - after 9 films over a record-breaking 17 years - if'd be nice if he could make his exit with his best ever outing as the character.

Another moment from the first trailer that’s repeated but elongated in this final preview is the curious case of the vibrating room. At the 1:56 time stamp, we can see the back of Professor X’s head as he faces out of the window in a sun-bleached room. The whole room is shaking like there’s an earthquake and Charles looks to be writhing in pain.

What this trailer adds is that Laura is crawling across the room to reach him. An earlier shot also seems to take place at the same point in the movie, as Logan is seen withdrawing his claws in what looks to be a hotel corridor that’s also shaking.

So, what could this mean? Based on the footage from the first trailer, some fans theorized that this is Charles’ death scene – perhaps because it resembles the way he originally died in X-Men: The Last Stand. One ominous shot found in the first trailer saw Logan and Laura standing over a freshly-dug grave, so it does look like the elderly X-Men founder’s days are numbered.

Charles is also very ill by this stage in his life, so perhaps the shaking we’re seeing is his telekinetic powers going on the fritz. Maybe he can’t control them the way he used to, in a superhero-friendly allegory for Alzheimer’s?
