5 Torture Scenes That Will Scar You For Life

I've always had an issue with the term torture porn. I didn't like the idea of the word "porn" being added to the torture aspects of these movies because I felt that it implied some level of sexual gratification was taken from them, and I don't think that is accurate. Yet now, years later, you watch a show on the Food Network and people call it food porn. That is when the term starts to make sense, though. Some of these films really are torture porn, if you think about it.

Captivity – Blender Scene

This might just be the moment that torture porn jumped (and raped and then climbed inside) the shark. The entirety of Captivity was a cheap and disgusting cash-in on the torture porn movement, and it sort of ceased its mainstream accessibility by taking things too far, on purpose. A movie that wants to pretend it is a satire of the genre whilst also being a satire of celebrity ends up being nothing but a cruel, plotless story where a girl gets put through some awful shit, just so sickos like me can get some enjoyment. Wait, erase that last sentence.

There is one scene though in particular that is SO over-the-top and so insane that it makes you wonder how this film got made at all. I almost went with the scene where they shoot her dog because, fuck you, leave animals out of this (torturing humans is okay, though), but that was almost comical.

Instead, how about the scene where the “bad guy” puts a bunch of eyes and ears and guts into a blender and then forces her to drink it? I know it sounds funny for a minute, but think about it. Think about how many diseases she probably got in that exact moment.

That’s some hepatitis-Q shit right there.
