5 Movies To See In April

Now that March is past us and April has begun, moviegoers are faced with the tough decision of planning out which film's box office numbers they're going to help inflate this month. There are a ton of great films coming our way over the next 30 days, and figuring out which ones are worth your money may seem like a daunting task.

The more trailers that have dropped for Pain & Gain, the more excited I am to see it. Michael Bay is back to doing what Michael Bay should do – fun movies with no Transformers or Shia LaBeouf. He’s got Mark Wahlberg, lots of bikinis, and a less than perfect heist. If that isn’t a recipe for success, I honestly don’t know what is.

I never pass up a chance to see a Wahlberg film these days, and Anthony Mackie has proved himself quite the talented actor as well. While I’m not the biggest fan of the Dwayne Johnson, I’m willing to tolerate him in order to watch those other two at work. There probably won’t be any Oscar nominations coming out of this film, but hey, we can appreciate movies that aren’t serious and dramatic some of the time right?

This is the last must-see I have of this month’s releases, and it’s much lighter than the rest. If you’re looking for a purely good time when you go to the movies, then be sure to catch Pain & Gain on April 26.

So there’s our picks for what to see this month. What do you want to see in April? Let us know in the comments.
