Even with Avengers: Infinity War in cinemas, we still don't know what the title of next year's Avengers 4 will be - but here are 6 possible contenders.

Given all the clues we’ve received as to Avengers 4‘s title, though, which one fits the best? Personally speaking, we nominate Avengers: Disassembled as the most likely of the rumored names for the movie. It’s dark and dramatic and so fits the Russo’s “scary” tease, it makes a lot of sense within the story of the film and it evokes a similar comic book arc.

First off, the title would work well as it references the classic “Avengers assemble!” catchphrase. While it hasn’t technically been uttered in the MCU yet, most fans are familiar with it enough to get the joke here. In some territories, the first Avengers movie was even titled Avengers Assemble. So calling the film this would be a very clever instance of bringing everything full circle.

The term “disassembled” also works as a euphemism for what happened to many of the heroes at the close of Infinity War: half of the galaxy’s greatest defenders were reduced to dust. So the Avengers are quite literally disassembled… into little tiny particles. Given this, it would make sense why Marvel would keep the title secret until after IW‘s release, as it could constitute a spoiler.

Finally, Avengers: Disassembled is the name of yet another comic book event that hit the heroes hard. Essentially, this 2004 storyline knocked several founding members of the Avengers out of the picture and ushered in a new age and revamped line-up for the team (the New Avengers we mentioned earlier). Though the OG line-up are currently the only ones alive going into Avengers 4, we highly suspect we’re going to lose some of them by the next installment’s end.
