What it means: Another one of those categories that has been routinely rejected. The First Academy Awards did acknowledge title cards and the artists that drew them, but since inter-titles no longer exist we don’t seem to reward the artists who craft those often amazing title sequences.

Why have it: Granted that many films no longer have opening titles per se, there are still quite a few that do. So how about giving the artists who make them some love, and the films that have them some deserved accolades? Y’know all those crazy James Bond titles? Or the remarkable Psycho opening? What about the Star Wars crawl? Yeah, let’s reward that.
