7 Insane Marvel Movie Theories That Will Blow Your Mind

We're now twelve movies in and the Marvel Cinematic Universe shows no signs of slowing down. Guardians Of The Galaxy placed a lot of emphasis on Peter Quill’s heritage, opening with the death of his mother and subsequent adoption by the alien Yondu. Quill’s obsession with the tape his mother gave him remained a touching link between the two throughout the film, but at the end, new light was shed on the identity of his father, who supposedly hails from an ancient, unknown alien species.

Director James Gunn has promised that the identity of Quill’s father will be revealed in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2., but that hasn’t stopped the internet from throwing out wild speculations, ranging from Eros or The Collector to Thanos himself… except Chris Pratt is far too pretty for the latter option.

Gunn has already confirmed that Quill’s father will be a different character to the one used in the comics (Jason of Spartax), and the most popular fan theory out there suggests that he will probably be Adam Warlock, a powerful cosmic entity whose cocoon can be seen in the Collectors home.

At the end of the film, the cocoon has been busted open, suggesting that we will be seeing more of Warlock in the upcoming sequel. This makes a lot of sense, as Warlock played a pivotal role in confronting Thanos during the original Infinity War saga in the comics.

Also, Warlock is far prettier.
