7 Star Wars Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spinoff

Disney's got some big plans involving Star Wars, their latest hot stock. With Rogue One proving to be a major success (anybody else still get goosebumps when they think about those last five minutes?) and a Han Solo spinoff already in production, we can be sure that these two “anthology” stories will not be the last of their kind.

Yet another one of the cool characters that was killed off too soon in the prequels, Jango Fett would also make for an interesting protagonist in an Anthology film. The bounty hunter was of course the father of the infamous Boba Fett (another irresponsibly wasted character) and made a nearly-cameo appearance in Attack of the Clones.

The first-generation assassin had an interesting past: widely regarded as one of the best of the bounty hunters, he was recruited by Darth Tyranus to be the template of the Republic’s Clone troopers. He then made the mistake of bringing a blaster to a lightsaber fight, which he lost his head over; but his untimely death was not without its perks, as it provided Boba the motivation to pick up where his father left off, and become one of the Star Wars universe’s most beloved characters.

Although Jango’s actual on-screen appearances are short lived, there’s a lot to work with for an Anthology film. His backstory, which involves a web of other bounty hunters and some of the major events of the Mandalorian Civil War, could certainly make for a great antihero flick, don’t you think?
