8 Actors Who Could Play Norman Osborn In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

Filming on Sony/Marvel collaboration Spider-Man: Homecoming is now under way, with the movie due to swing into cinemas next July. There are not too many things that have been 100% confirmed about the film as yet, but it is expected to pit Tom Holland’s Spidey against that winged terror The Vulture. This has been met with positivity from fans, as Vulture is a villain we have yet to see on the big screen. Unlike Norman Osborn, for instance, who has featured in four out of five of the previous Spider-films.

So far, these prospective Norman Osborns have not strayed too far from the traditional view of the character. Given how the MCU will give us a younger Spider-Man than before and an, um, unusual version of Aunt May in Marisa Tomei, it is probably more likely that Marvel would do something different with him, as well. Our choice for a left-field Osborn, then, is none other than Oscar Isaac.

Isaac is one of the most versatile actors working in Hollywood today, with recent roles including a dodgy billionaire in Ex Machina and the dashing Poe Dameron in The Force Awakens. He could easily stretch himself to play a crooked fat cat like Osborn. Plus, he needs another part in a Marvel movie that actually utilizes his talents, unlike his wasted turn as the titular villain in X-Men: Apocalypse.
