8 Alternate Versions Of Spider-Man We Need To See On The Big Screen

Last year, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures made history when they reached a deal which will see Spider-Man become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Played by Tom Holland, the new Peter Parker will first show up in Captain America: Civil War before starring in a solo outing next year from director Jon Watts. As of right now, we still haven't seen so much as a single official image of the new Spider-Man, but the future still looks bright for the iconic superhero.

When Marvel announced that they were rebooting the Spider-Man movie franchise with Sony, there was an overwhelming demand for them to bring Miles Morales to the big screen in the place of Peter Parker.

Created as part of Marvel’s Ultimate line, he too was bitten by a genetically modified spider, and actually decided to become the new Spider-Man following the death of Peter Parker.

While the movies could head in that direction in the distant future, it may actually be smarter to introduce him as a classmate of Peter’s next year, giving him his powers in a sequel and then teaming the two Spider-Men up for what would no doubt be a really fun movie (the fact they both have very different powers would also make for a much more interesting dynamic than utilizing Ben or Kaine).

However it happens, there’s no way Marvel haven’t paid attention to the vocal response to Miles, so expect to see him sooner rather than later.
