8 Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Rumors We Hope Come True

While Marvel and DC fans continue to bicker over which will be better, there's no denying that both Captain America: Civil War and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are 2016's most highly anticipated releases. Batgirl

When Jena Malone was spotted on the set of Batman V Superman with red hair, you’d best believe that just about everyone jumped to the conclusion that she had been cast as Carrie Kelly, the Robin from The Dark Knight Returns. That was later backed up by a pretty reliable report from The Hollywood Reporter, but it has since been rumoured that The Hunger Games star is actually going to be bringing Batgirl to life on the big screen. Whether we’ll meet Barbara Gordon as Batgirl or Oracle remains to be seen, but Malone playing either character would make the majority of fans very happy.

It could end up being both, t00, as there have been rumblings that a flashback will depict Barbara being shot by The Joker, leading to her being wheelchair bound and providing Batman with intel while out in the field. Ultimately, it would be amazing to see Malone play either version of the character, especially if it leads to Batgirl eventually starring in her own spinoff.

Oracle is another great character though, and while we’re used to seeing Alfred helping Master Bruce out while he’s hitting the streets as Batman, it would shake up the Caped Crusader’s dynamic for Barbara to be involved somehow, too.
