Fans who have already seen Captain America: Civil War can breathe a sigh of relief that the movie is just as awesome as we all hoped, managing to deliver the requisite superhero vs. superhero action but also never losing sight of the characters and the story. It certainly did succeed in a lot of ways, but it did also leave a few questions unanswered.

Winter Soldier

Another thing that Civil War does very well is balance the argument over the Accords with the story of Bucky’s redemption. The former Winter Soldier is a hugely important part of the plot, and is perhaps even the third biggest presence behind Cap and Iron Man. A post-credits scene sees him being put on ice in Wakanda, under the care of King T’Challa; the aim being that he will be defrosted once a method is found to properly cure him of his HYDRA conditioning. But when will we next see Bucky?

Presumably, he’ll play a part in the Infinity War extravaganza, but what turn will his character take next? Many believe he will follow on from his friend and become the next Captain America. Given that Sebastian Stan has apparently signed on for more films than Chris Evans, it does seem like a strong possibility…
