8 Burning Questions Captain America: Civil War Left Us With

Fans who have already seen Captain America: Civil War can breathe a sigh of relief that the movie is just as awesome as we all hoped, managing to deliver the requisite superhero vs. superhero action but also never losing sight of the characters and the story. It certainly did succeed in a lot of ways, but it did also leave a few questions unanswered.

In the aforementioned final scene, when Cap breaks his friends out of the Raft, he also does something that will make fans of the character gasp; he discards his shield. Perhaps motivated by Iron Man’s accusation that he doesn’t deserve to wield Howard Stark’s creation any more, Steve Rogers looks set for a big change.

So, does this mean that he’s retiring the persona of Captain America? That’s pretty big, considering it has been what has defined him for the past seventy years. In the comics, Cap has given up wearing the flag on several occasions, going by the aliases The Captain and Nomad. Are we about to see a similar change of heart come over the cinematic character?

And how long does he have left, anyway? Many were predicting him to die in Captain America: Civil War, but for now he lives to fight another day. Will Infinity War be Steve’s last battle, though? Only time will tell…
