8 Captain America: Civil War Rumors That We Hope Come True

Captain America: Civil War is by far one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2016, and looks set to be perhaps the biggest one, too (sorry, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice). As the first film in Marvel's Phase 3, it's going to set the stage for everything to come, as Captain America and Iron Man go to war and the Avengers are divided.

4) The Hulk Shows Up

There have been a lot of rumours about The Hulk showing up in Captain America: Civil War, and as of right now, we really have no idea whether or not Mark Ruffalo is going to be making a surprise appearance (it would be very cool to see him utilized as a weapon just like the clone of Thor was in the Civil War comic book).

However, an even more interesting Hulk related rumour for this movie is the fact that William Hurt’s General Ross is going to end up transforming into the Red Hulk, a twist which no one would see coming, mostly because it’s so completely random and out of the blue!

There’s no doubt a way this movie could explain it, but do we really need a Red Hulk? The comic book version of this character has never been particularly well-liked, but if there’s anyone who could fix that, it’s Kevin Feige and the Russo Brothers.

It’s been a long time since we saw General Ross in The Incredible Hulk, so who knows what he’s been getting up to since then? Seeing The Hulk save New York City alongside The Avengers can’t have been easy for him, and depending on who he’s been spending time with – Baron Zemo, perhaps? – it’s possible he’s undergone a transformation…
