Now that critics and a sizeable chunk of the fans have savaged the film, however, it's not yet known whether a Suicide Squad 2 is still on the cards.

Yes, Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor was by far one of the most complained about aspects of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Still, now that he’s here, the DCEU needs to bring him back to try and find a way to save the character.

While the calm and commanding mastermind Lex usually is would not be a natural fit for the Suicide Squad, we think Eisenberg’s twitchy young psychopath would be an easy bedfellow of Harley Quinn or Captain Boomerang. He might even be better served as a part of an anti-hero team rather than in a sole villain role, as we saw in BvS.

There could also be some fun to be had from seeing the billionaire having to slum it with these common criminals when he thinks he’s destined for greatness.
