8 Classic Horror Films That Hollywood Might As Well Remake

Like Poltergeist, a remake of the original Jaws seems anathema, but Hollywood has already decided that any iconic film deserves the remake treatment – and Jaws is a pretty original disaster movie. With a serial-killing shark, a beach full of screaming swimmers, and the opportunity to repeat lines like “we’re gonna need a bigger boat,” I am surprised that Hollywood has continued to leave this one alone.

Will we get anything out of a Jaws remake, except perhaps the opportunity to see the original re-released as part of a lead up to it? Nope, not at all. They’re about making an easy buck and, let’s face it, remaking Jaws would drag people in the theaters whether they wanted to be there or not.
