5) Rey And Finn: Unlikely Allies?
Rey appears to come across Finn on Jakku and the two are then hunted down by TIE fighters. Either they don’t know who Finn is, or they do and are trying to kill him for either abandoning his post as a Trooper or teaming up with the Rebel Alliance.
Daisy Ridley mentioned at Star Wars Celebration that her character was a self-sufficient and solitary scavenger, until she met “another character and the adventure begins.” Judging by this footage, Finn is that character and for some reason, the two begin an intergalactic adventure together.
As far as Finn goes, we have yet to spend any amount of time inside the helmet of a Stormtrooper, the famous “Red Shirts” of the Star Wars franchise. His character should give us a new perspective on the saga as a whole thouh and act as our entry point to the state of the Empire now.
