A third film in Quentin Tarantino’s masterful revenge saga is sitting at the top of every fan of the director’s wishlist. Though news on whether the movie is happening has flip-flopped endlessly since the second installment in 2004, right now it’s dead – which is a crying shame .

While filming Vol 2., Tarantino stated that his plan was to do a third movie in ten or fifteen years’ time – the aim being that the young actress who played Nikki (whose mother was murdered by the Bride) would be old enough to take on the main role. Later, he confirmed that it was to come out in 2014. When it got to that stage, however, he claimed the chances of a Kill Bill Vol. 3 happening were low.

Give him another year, though, and Tarantino might well say it’s back on.
