Arguably the biggest film of 2016, not much can be said about Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice that hasn't been said already. It's the film that fans have been waiting for, and it's the film that will pave the way for Justice League. If you're not already drooling over this one, you may need to get your head checked.

8 Burning Questions We Have After Watching Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

It is fair to say that the reaction to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice has been decidedly mixed. A lot of the criticism directed at the movie is to do with how overstuffed it is. Apart from the smash-up between the two titular heroes, BvS also has subplots for Lois Lane, Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Evil Mark Zuckerberg and a big CGI monster. Oh, and it has to set up the other metahumans for their starring roles in the Justice League.

Given the fact that we know Henry Cavill’s Supes will be a major figure in the just-starting DCEU, the question we have after seeing the character die in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice is not ‘will he come back?’ but ‘when?’

The final shot of the movie – dust hovering around his coffin – suggests the Man of Steel isn’t staying dead. But when will he be resurrected? Will this event happen off screen so that we can have the Big Blue Boy Scout up and flying again by the start of Justice League? Or will the League’s efforts to revive the hero make up a large portion of Justice League Part One?

Another interesting question is whether his Clark Kent persona will be resurrected as well. So far the films haven’t been too interested in exploring the everyday aspect of the character, so Kal-El could just be Superman from now on.

After all, how would Clark explain his sudden return from the dead?
