The Domino Effect

Ignore the trolls on the Internet, because Zazie Beetz’s Domino looks absolutely incredible. The changes to the character’s original comic book appearance are perfect and she no longer looks like a lost puppy from 101 Dalmatians. There’s no argument here, because this is an excellent example of when a change has been made for the better.

The success of Wonder Woman has paved the way for strong female comic book characters that are more than just sidekicks or love interests. Beetz’s Domino has the real potential to be a breakout star for Fox and have the same sort of impact as Gal Gadot’s Diana Prince had in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. If the filmmakers keep her personality as close to the source material as possible, there could be a new action heroine in town, which might surprise more than a few people.

While she’s likely to portray Cable’s love interest in the sequel, we also wouldn’t put it past Wade to try a pull a move on her (when Vanessa isn’t looking). If his reaction to her first on-screen appearance is sha-wing, it’ll be worth the price of admission alone. With any luck, she’ll lay him out with a fist for his pervy behavior afterwards.
