If you want to talk about powerful comic book villains, look no further than Darkseid. This badass possesses immeasurable power and has posed a massive threat to many of our favorite heroes, most notably Superman and Batman. He’s about as evil as you can get when it comes to not only DC villains, but villains in general, and while it might be hard to work the character into the gritty, more realistic world that this cinematic universe is building, it really wouldn’t be a Justice League movie if DC didn’t include him.

Also, it’s important to remember that in the comics, Darkseid has often served as a catalyst for the formation of the Justice League, which could make Zack Snyder’s job of bringing together DC’s various heroes incredibly easy.
