2) Think About Heading To TV
When Marvel Studios regained the rights to Daredevil, most of us assumed that the plan would be to have him star in his own movie. Instead, they made the surprising – and ultimately genius – decision to have the Man Without Fear take a starring role on Netflix in the first of four shows which will lead to the formation of The Defenders. I, for one, was crushed when it became apparent that Matt Murdock wasn’t destined for the big screen, but in hindsight having seen his series, it’s fair to say that the character is actually better suited for the small screen. Perhaps the Fantastic Four are, too.
Regardless of the format of the show (a 13-part event series rather than a lengthy 22 episode run might be for the best), telling the team’s story on TV could work, and today’s special effects are certainly good enough so that they wouldn’t suffer without a movie budget.
This could even follow on from the events of the movie, with a recast Fantastic Four finding their footing as heroes and embarking on their journey to becoming the heroes we all know and love from the comic books.
There’s nothing to guarantee this would be a success, but in all honesty, it would at least be worth a try.
