8 X-Men Characters Who Need To Be Brought Back To The Big Screen

The first two X-Men movies were superb, but the franchise appeared to be done for after awful releases like X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Thankfully, things started looking up with The Wolverine and turned a major corner with X-Men: Days of Future Past last year (which no doubt had something to do with Bryan Singer returning to the franchise). However, all of those movies made some big mistakes.

Rogue

This fan-favourite mutant was a focal point of the original X-Men trilogy, and the end of X-Men: Days of Future Past confirmed that she’s now living happily in the new future that movie created.

That obviously complicates matters when it comes to bringing the character back, as she can’t really appear in the X-Men: Apocalypse sequel which will presumably be set in the 90s. Of course, many fans were hoping Anna Paquin would be asked to reprise the role in Gambit seeing as they have years worth of history in the comic books, but the actress recently confirmed that won’t be the case.

The next Wolverine movie could work then, but regardless of when and where this happens, it’s about time that we see Rogue portrayed on the big screen as she is in the comics; a flying, tough as nails badass who is actually one of the most powerful X-Men.
