In case you’ve been sleeping for the past week, the latest rumor is that Matt Reeves’ The Batman will feature multiple villains. While the source of the news – 4chan – should be taken with a pinch of salt, there’ve been more than a few murmurs that this Dark Knight flick could be a jam-packed, all-star outing.
If the buzz does end up being true, we could be in for quite the Gotham adventure. However, there’s always the fear that it could be a crammed affair that’s more akin to Mortal Kombat: Annihilation than Captain America: Civil War. But with a creative team featuring the likes of Matt Reeves, Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns in the driving seat, do you really think they’d let us down with their choices?
Regardless of which characters do make the eventual cut, there are nine of them that we believe shouldn’t appear in the film under any circumstances. This isn’t because we dislike them, but due to other reasons that we’ll state in more detail later on.
