The Joker Is Really Jason Todd

Recommended Videos

Now, this one started as a fan theory before the release of Suicide Squad. Eagle-eyed fans spotted the “J” tattoo under the Joker’s face, as well as the knife-through-a-robin ink on his arm, and pieced together a persuasive argument that this version of Mr. J is really Jason Todd, AKA the second Boy Wonder.

It sounded extremely convincing, to be honest, and a helluva twist in the DCEU. But it also would’ve deepened the connection between the Clown Prince of Crime and Batman as a symbol of the Dark Knight’s greatest failure in creating a new version of his nemesis.

More than anything, this theory would’ve helped explain why the Joker possesses a drastic new look that we’re all unfamiliar with. Unfortunately, it’s untrue, and Mr. J’s gangsta style is purely due to shocking design and bad taste on the part of the filmmakers.
