Another day on the internet, another fan theory relating to Avengers: Endgame.
With the recent digital release of the movie, folks have had a chance to go over the finer details of the superhero epic more closely, and some have already jumped to a few very interesting conclusions. One such conclusion takes the form of a fan theory regarding Tony Stark, and how he might have been given the same serum that turned Steve Rogers into the super soldier Captain America.
In support of the theory, the fan who came up with the idea on, where else but Reddit, points towards the fact that Tony’s father was part of the military group that created the serum. As such, he could’ve had a supply of the scientific elixir, and could very well have given it to Tony at some point as part of an experiment. This would make Iron Man some version of a super-powered being.
Having the extra strength and durability provided by the serum would also explain how Tony has been able to survive accidents since the first film that would kill an ordinary person. For example, he survives a shrapnel attack straight to the heart in the first Iron Man movie. In subsequent pics, meanwhile, he fights off a deadly infection caused by the pieces of metal still lodged in his chest, repeated trips to outer space and having a full moon thrown at him by Thanos.
Additionally, Tony was able to survive a fight with the Incredible Hulk himself and was also able to take on Captain America and the Winter Soldier at the same time and almost beat them both. And perhaps most significantly, in Avengers: Endgame, Tony was able to briefly wield the Infinity Gauntlet, a feat that no mere human could ever hope to pull off.
All these things do seem to suggest that Iron Man had a little something extra special going on inside his body that maybe never received the attention it deserved because the armor he wore was hogging all the limelight. But what do you think of this theory? Was Tony a super solider all along? Let us know by dropping a comment down below.
