Avengers: Endgame Leak Reveals Thanos Will Still Wield The Gauntlet

Despite it having seemingly been destroyed at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, it looks like Thanos will still be wielding the Infinity Gauntlet in Avengers: Endgame.

The floodgates have really opened for Avengers: Endgame leaks over the past month or two, with some especially revealing toy imagery making its way online in recent weeks.

Among the various character designs that have emerged in the last little while is one that puts the focus on Thanos’ armor, which has popped up in enough images by now to tell us that he’ll be wearing the outfit for a good part of the movie. But what’s perhaps most interesting is that it seems the Mad Titan will still be sporting his old Infinity Gauntlet, as it’s seen on his hand in the photo in the gallery down below. Although, if previous leaks are any indication, then he’ll also carry around a double-bladed sword.

Given that we know the accessory took significant damage from the snap, meaning the gauntlet isn’t operating at full capacity anymore, it’s surprising to see that he’ll still be wielding it. Though perhaps that’s why he’s now got that sword as well, to make up for the lack of power in the gauntlet.

In any case, it’s pretty clear Thanos will continue to play a major role in the MCU – at least, as far as Endgame goes. From the disintegrating Marvel Studios logo in the first trailer, to the purple-tinted lettering of the film’s official poster, the Mad Titan has an undeniable presence in the promotion, even if we’re still not entirely sure how he’ll factor into the story.

Thanos might’ve wanted nothing more than to finally rest and watch the sun rise on a grateful universe, but it seems he’ll still be getting in on the fight and we’ll find out how he returns to the fold when Avengers: Endgame arrives on April 26th.
