‘Avengers: The Kang Dynasty’ scribe debunks leaking claims

Was Jeff Loveness the one behind the 'Quantumania' leak?

Marvel Studios writer Jeff Loveness has come to the center of everyone’s attention following claims that he was responsible for leaking the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania script days before the film’s official release. The writer could have stayed silent and waited for this brewing conspiracy theory to blow over. However, the writer decided to clear his name on social media.

This kicked off when one Twitter user questioned if Loveness was Marvel leaker @thewatcher_2099. The leaker’s account no longer exists on the site. However, screenshots of past interactions made it seem like the user was advocating against the “hate train” the writer has received. Loveness responded to the user’s claims and said that @thewatcher_2099 wasn’t him, nor was he responsible for the leak.

It’s interesting how these accusations came to life just now when rumors of Loveness’ departure from Avengers: The Kang Dynasty appeared a few days ago. Coincidence? I think not! But in all seriousness, it’s very unlikely that Loveness was the one responsible considering how Marvel Studios has a record of keeping a close eye on those heavily involved in future projects.

The script for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania was leaked back in late January, days before the film’s official release. It was alleged that the leak caused the film to perform poorly at the box office, which led Marvel Studios to hunt down those responsible. Its main suspects were those on the r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers subreddit (which is now closed) and so far, the identities of the leakers are not known to the public.
