The superhero vs. superhero trend is properly in full swing right now. This month we’ve had Daredevil vs. Punisher in Daredevil season two and The Dark Knight vs. Supes in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, while next month sees Captain America duke it out with Iron Man in Captain America: Civil War. For whatever reason, that fixture of geeky conversations (“who would win in a fight if…”) is being currently being mined by those who make superhero adaptations.

This is the ultimate superhero vs. superhero battle. A fight that is waged every day by comic book fans – the question of whether Marvel or DC is better – it would be fanboy and girl heaven if 2004’s “JLA/Avengers” storyline was adapted for the big screen. Yes, there is probably no way in hell that the two movie studios would agree to team up but hey, we can dream, can’t we?

The comic sees the two superhero teams brought together across universes by the all-powerful Grandmaster. All the big-hitters you could ask for are involved, resulting in some mouth-watering conflicts like Batman V Captain America and Superman going at it with Thor.

Despite saying above that the studios wouldn’t work together, this joint venture would surely be a massive blockbuster event which would generate a lot of box office for both parties. Come on, guys, no one would lose here. Well, except whichever bunch of superheroes was beaten by the other…
