The 8 Best Moments Of Captain America: Civil War

Is Captain America: Civil War the best movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far? No, but it is certainly entertaining. Black Panther In The Tunnel

There are simply not enough superlatives to do justice to the first sequence that features Prince T’Challa as Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. His costume is incredible and his feline physicality is flawless. He attacks Bucky on a rooftop because he believes he is responsible for the death of King T’Chaka, and this evolves into a lengthy pursuit – with Captain America and Falcon chasing the both of them.

The chase moves into a road tunnel and Cap commandeers a vehicle in order to gain the upper hand. Black Panther simply hitches a ride, though, and the sight of this intimidating new character lithely moving through the tunnel and effortlessly clinging onto the rear of cars is a fantastic moment. The framing of these shots serves to accentuate the power of Black Panther and the sense that Captain America has been thrown off his game by the sudden appearance of this unknown, enhanced individual, who is trying to kill his friend.

The sequence comes to a juddering halt at the end of the tunnel, as armed police descend on the group, causing them to halt. War Machine arrives to tell them all to stand down, and just as they are about to be arrested, Black Panther removes his mask, revealing his identity to the surprise of the group.
