8) Katana
Another member of Task Force X who could have very easily stolen the show, Katana is given at least some backstory as we learn about the murder of her husband and her mystical sword, but nowhere near enough time is devoted to any of that to make it really matter. We also never learn why she’s serving as a bodyguard for Rick Flag; has Amanda Waller found a way of forcing her to be there, or is she a gun for hire?
This and the fact that she jumps on that helicopter as almost an afterthought do Katana no favours. Perhaps even worse than that is the fan-favourite comic book vigilante never being given the chance to shine in a particularly cool action sequence. As a result, Katana is another forgettable addition to Task Force X who barely makes a bigger impact than the quickly dispatched Slipknot.
