5) Rick Flag

Joel Kinnaman hasn’t received anywhere near enough love for his performance in Suicide Squad, but Rick Flag is definitely a character it would be great to see more of in the DC Films Universe.
While the romantic subplot with June Moon/Enchantress feels like it’s been thrown in for the sake of it, following his journey throughout the movie is surprisingly compelling. Not only is he a bona fide badass, but watching his disdain for the members of Task Force X turn into a sort of respect and friendship is extremely satisfying.
More time should have probably been devoted to exploring Flag’s relationship with Amanda Waller, but if nothing else, David Ayer succeeded here in introducing a character who could reappear in any one of the upcoming DC Comics adaptations on the way over the next few years.
