You were probably expecting to see Harley Quinn in the top spot here, and while there’s no denying that Margot Robbie was great in the role, a couple of other characters just manage to outshine her. Of course, there’s no denying that it will be nice to see her again whether it’s in The Batman or her own solo outing, but Suicide Squad never quite pushes the boundaries with the character as much as it probably should.

Like The Joker, it’s easy to imagine that some darker scenes featuring the former Arkham Asylum psychiatrist ended up on the cutting room floor with the biggest casualty being her origin story. Had Suicide Squad really delved into that, it would have made her journey all the more satisfying; instead, the movie just ends with her returning to The Joker, undoing pretty much all of Harley’s character development.
