After a whole bunch of rumors have been flying around recently with regards to potential casting, it’s been confirmed that Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche have signed on to star in Words And Pictures, presumably to bicker for 90 minutes and then fall in love, given that this is a film about two opposing teachers who have “issues” with one another at a prep school.

That’s what all these kind of movies are about, aren’t they? Unless this is somehow a holocaust drama. Oh, great, now I feel bad. I mean, the title is sort of serious, isn’t it? Sort of like The Words, but with pictures, and we all know how that movie turned out (if you don’t, then you’re extremely lucky).

There’s barely anything to say about this project at this moment given that there’s nothing much in the way of plot details. Is it a comedy? Is it a drama? Is it a blend of both? Until we’re officially told the answer to those burning questions, you decide.

What we can tell you is that Fred Schepisi will direct Words And Pictures from a screenplay written by Gerald DiPego, but that’s hardly the sort of movie trivia that you can impress your friends with. Unfortunately we don’t have any of that either.

What do you think, anyway? Will Clive Owen and Juliette Binoche have the right kind of chemistry to pull something like this off? As usual, let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
